Description
WWII Prussian State RM500 Treasury Bond 1940What You See Is What You Get
In this lot you get:
(1x) 500 Reichsmark Prussian State Treasury Bond, issued Berlin, 31 May 1940
FREE DOMESTIC U.S. SHIPPING
The bond is in good circulated (used) condition as pictured. Has infrequently seen mis-cancel error (the German Federal Republic has, understandably, been keen to eradicate Nazi symbolism,) leaving Third Reich era Reichsadler seal intact. Has full underprint of same. Low opening bid reflecting staple stains as pictured.
Authentic historical artifact documenting turbulent times. The last few remaining examples of these certificates, from the vaults of the former Reichsbank in Berlin, were auctioned off by the German Ministry of the Interior through their Federal Office for Central Services and Unresolved Property Issues (Bundesamt für zentrale Dienste und offene Vermögensfragen, or BADV,) in November 2015. In announcing the sale, the BADV stated that the auction would be its once and only, final, marketing of all of its pre-1945 German government bonds. These are the last of them. What you see is what you get. Makes a nice gift for the Old Cold Warrior, student, educator, or history buff in your life!
Shipped flat via USPS First Class mail.
