    Description

    ORIGINAL
Reichswerke Hermann Göring preferred stock, issued in Berlin in 1939. On the 1000 Reichsmark stock is an embossed "HG" seal as well as the facsimile signatures of Paul Pleiger and Wilhelm Voss
Paul Pleiger was a German businessman, general director, NSDAP Gauwirtschaftsberater and Prussian State Councilor. He was directly subordinate to Adolf Hitler from 1941 and Reich Commissioner for Coal. Pleiger was member of the NSDAP and the SS
In 1945, around 500 Soviet forced laborers worked in his mining supply company in the Hammer Valley. As general director of the Reichswerke "Hermann Göring", Pleiger was one of the most influential economic functionaries and state entrepreneurs of the Nazi state
At the Wilhelmstrasse Trial in Nuremberg, Pleiger was charged with crimes against peace, plunder and participation in forced labor programs and sentenced on April 11, 1949, to 15 years' imprisonment from April 15, 1945
Wilhelm Voß had a doctorate in economic management; he was also an SS-Standartenführer and Wehrwirtschaftsführer and a member of the Freundeskreis Reichsführer SS. He was a co-founder of the Reichswerke Hermann Göring in 1937 and later general director from 1939 to 1941
The SS established three concentration camps specifically for the Reichswerke in the Braunschweig/Salzgitter area as sub-commandos/sub-camps of the Neuengamme concentration camp near Hamburg: the Salzgitter-Drütte concentration camp, the Salzgitter-Watenstedt concentration camp and the Salzgitter-Bad concentration camp.
